One of the
neatest things about our waterfront resort is, of course, the
water! All of the cabins are an easy walk to the water
on gently sloping land. Waterfront recreation starts at
the lighthouse. On the right is a rose garden with cedar
benches and a beautiful magnolia tree. There is also a fire
pit perfect for making s'mores and telling stories or singing
songs. On the left is the fishing pier. This is the place to
put your pole in the water and watch the sunrise or sunset and
wait for the catch of the day. On the very point is the
pavilion with table and chairs, porch swing and gliders. It's
right next to the sandy beach/playground. Mom and Dad can
enjoy their swing while the kids enjoy the sand pile and
kid-size swings. Just be careful when telling the little ones
to make "sand pies". Some little guys think you mean make
them and eat them!
When you leave land the swimming is wonderful. You can play
as hard as you want or relax even harder. Swim to the
docks and then enjoy drying off in the sun. It's a great
place to nap, too!
